My make-up removal routine in winter with #naturalcosmetics

Although we dress according to the seasons, probably not many people think about taking care of the seasons. That means to adapt the skin care to the temperature differences. Why is that so important? Because the winter months are much colder and drier than the summer months. The skin is thus exposed to extreme dryness and must try to protect itself. And even your own home becomes a temperature hell in the winter. Although heating warms, the air but also remove moisture and the skin is also exposed to great drought.

I have already expressed several times that I not only consider whether the skin products I use are good for me and the environment, but it is also important to me that I only have products that I actually use. I have always had a fairly small collection of products. There are so many little things we can all easily adapt to, in order to have environmentally healthier beauty routines. One thing you could start with is for example ditching your disposables and switch to reusables instead.

STEP1: Make-up removal with The Konjac Sponge and Refreshing Cleansing Gel

In warm water, the dry Konjac Sponge by transforms into a wonderfully soft sponge within a few minutes so i just add a little of the cleansing gel on it and use it in circular movements all over my face. When cleaning, the contained bamboo charcoal gently removes dirt and excess grease and fights bacteria.

Because of the bamboo charcoal is perfect for gentle, daily cleansing - especially on blemished skin.

When temperatures drop below eight degrees, the skin stops or reduces the production of sebum and the skin is less hydrated. The result: dry skin. Therefore, it is important that you reach for products that grip enough fat or vegetable oils such as argan or shea butter to provide optimal skin care. Make sure that you do not use products that remove moisture from your skin at the same time, which can happen when alcohol is processed. It should at least be extremely low, so you do not harm your skin in winter.

STEP 2: DRY

Afterwards i just dry my face with Washcloth made of unbleached cotton.

STEP 3: EYE make-up removal with 2 Phase Make-Up Remover

Highly effective make-up remover with refreshing bio-cucumber extract. The upper coloured phase includes soothing and cleansing bio-oils. The phase below is refined with bio aloe-vera-juice and valuable rose water. The remover cleanses the sensitive area of eyes and lips with mild tensides and valuable bio-oils without Irritation.I put this remover on the cotton cloth and gently stroke my eyes and eyelids.

This type of cotton cloth is actually more gentle and soft on the sensitive eye area, I think. And it removes makeup just as well as the conventional disposables. Cons: it’s getting stained from old makeup pretty quickly, but that’s okay with me. You can just pop it in the washing mashine, and it can be washed up to 95 degrees.

STEP 4: HYDRATE with Toner Water

Afterwards i use a toner for a quick, refreshing spritz or to remove any traces of makeup.

Moisture is King!

That's why the most important rule is moisture! On the one hand, this works from the inside, making sure that you always drink enough and eat watery foods.

Rose water helps to calm and reduce redness, whilst lavender water balances and softens the skin.

The power that antibacterial tea tree and witch hazel are supplying is purifying while antioxidant-rich grape juice helps to cleanse and soothe.

Retinol, an ingredient that can reduce the appearances of fine lines, of photo damage and of general skin aging.
